This scene outside my kitchen window adds nothing to my quality of life. The 'Big Red One' replaces an innocuous and faded beige bin which was tolerable and sat quietly minding its own business. This one insults the senses and yells at me all day long. It also brings with it a weekly mega-decibel intrusion into the bird songs of morning making more noise than should be allowed. I feel sorry for anyone who works the night shift there is no way one could sleep through that.If only I knew a graffiti artist.... but I suppose that would be illegal even if it did beautified the environment. Pity.
